Government Deems Parents Incompetent and Seeks Help from Porn Companies To Protect Children

This just in, the United States government has apparently found parents completely incapable of looking out for the best interest of their own children and has now sought the help of major porn companies.

A study found that less than 27% of all parents make even the slightest effort to stop their children from accessing incredibly obscene content.

Apparently, parents do not seem the least bit concerned when it comes to blocking access to pornographic content by installing freely provided apparently controls on electronic devices.

Any parents who is truly concerned about their children can use any of a variety of tools to keep their children safe from sexually explicit content. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Switching on Google SafeSearch on computers, phones, and other iOS or Android devices your child uses.
  • Activating the parental control features on phones and other devices can let you block specific apps and websites.
  • Contacting the internet service provider who often times provides filters (free of charge) to help prevent unwanted access to adult content.
  • Installing software like “Norton Family,” which blocks access to almost all adult content on a variety of electronic devices. Norton Family is often part of the Norton 360 virus protection software that comes with most computers.
  • Installing a filter through the router itself. If a parent doesn’t know how to do that they can always contact their internet service provider and simply ask. Or they can follow the simple instructions provided by the companies who offer the network router-level blocking, such as Circle Home Plus or Gryphon.

These are just some of the ways that parents could attempt to protect their children from accessing pornography, but it seems that most parents just don’t care nor make the slightest effort to do any of this.

So the government is now asking porn companies for help.

Claiming that parents are so incompetent and incapable of caring for their own children they want porn companies to step in and do this job for the parents.

Sure, adult websites already clearly identify and tag themselves as “adult content” using the established RTA tagging system set in place by these above-mentioned options so that parents who do care about their children and install family-friendly filters on electronic devices can easily block pornographic content.

But that’s not enough. The US government truly cares about protecting children from harm.

So despite the fact that access to pornography and protecting a child from harm should be the job of the parent, what else can the government do? Parents have clearly shown they don’t care what their children do.

I mean, if they did care, wouldn’t they make the slightest effort to try and block access to porn on all of their child’s electronic devices?

Wouldn’t they, oh, I don’t know, at the very least, active the parental controls on their children’s electronic devices?

If a parent truly doesn’t know what to do, they could always google, “How do I block porn from my child’s laptop?”

That’s not too complicated, is it?

I mean if a parent truly cared so much about their child might see pornography, wouldn’t they make the slightest effort to prevent it from happening by taking a few minutes of their day to activate these safety measures?

Any parent that truly cares about the safety and well-being of their child can put forth the slightest effort and stop almost children from accidentally accessing pornographic material.
