Instagram’s algorithm can be annoying at times. Trust me I get it.
Recently I’ve been getting a lot of people asking me why their story views have gone way down, so I thought I’d make a quick post showing how to basically “reset” it so it goes back to normal, and how to then maintain it at that level.
Resetting it is very simple, continue what you normally do on Instagram except you:
- Completely stop posting stories
- Completely stop watching stories
- Do this for a week or two.
If you can hold out for a full 2 weeks you should. The longer you hold out the higher chance you have of resetting the Instagram algorithm. Once this has passed and you are sure you didn’t post any stories or watched any you can go back to posting as normal.
to maintain a high story view you should post consistently – that’s every single day and remember hashtags do help. If you don’t want to mess up your pretty story with an ugly #hashtag, you can hide them by making the hashtag the same color as your story background color.
