I’m on Facebook today when I see a strange message come across my timeline. It was by male performer Michael Vegas.
In this message he says … Is it wrong of me to just assume all @DirectModels girls are hookers? Sorry … I mean “escorts”.
It was such a completely random statement, I knew there had to be more to it so I picked up the phone and started making some calls. The first person I called with Twistys Treat of the Month and former Penthouse Pet of the Month, Darcie Dolce, who is also from LA Direct Models.
Here is how that conversation went ….
- Kelli: Hey Darcie. Heard you are a hooker.
- Darcie: Excuse me?
- Kelli: Yeah, Michael Vegas said all girls from LA Direct are hookers. Is this true?
- Darcie: I have news for Michael Vegas, I have been with exactly two men in my entire life. So I don’t know why he felt the need to call me or any other the other great girls I work with hookers, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
- Kelli: So to clarify, Michael Vegas is wrong, you are in fact not a hooker?
- Darcie: (laughs) No, I am not a hooker. Don’t get me wrong though, I don’t have any problem with any girl who chooses to escort. What a girl does with her body is her choice. Who am I to judge?
So with that out of the way, I had to figure out what was really going on. It took several phone calls and lots of annoying the piss out of people to get my way but I finally got to the bottom of it.
It turns out a female performer who wishes not to be named found out she was booked on a scene with Michael Vegas and requested another male talent or to just cancel the scene all together. Why? Because Michael Vegas is on her no list because he’s a crossover performer as he performs in gay porn.
She said it was nothing personal against Michael Vegas, she was sure he is a nice enough guy but she doesn’t ever have sex with “high risk performers”, male or female.
She actually said that she had a boyfriend who isn’t in the industry and the one thing he doesn’t like her doing is having sex with men who are gay. And since Michael Vegas has sex with other men on camera and has done so numerous times over the years, he is on her no list.
She also went on to say something very important – she didn’t understand why Michael Vegas or anyone would be so upset about who she did or didn’t want to have sex with. It’s her body and therefore her choice. Why would anyone want to try and force her to have sex with someone she didn’t feel comfortable working with?
As a performer, you have the right to say no for any reason. That same rule applies to Michael Vegas. If someone wants to book him for a scene he doesn’t want to do, or with a girl he doesn’t want to be with, he too can say no.
But moving on from that, something about the whole thing kept bothering me.
That word “force” stuck out to me, so I made a few more phone calls. What did this girl mean force her to be with him?
It turns out when Michael Vegas found out his scene was cancelled he flipped out on the girls agent and said that the agent should force the girl to do the scene.
When the agent refused, saying that all of the talent on his roster had the right to make their own decisions about who they did or didn’t want to have sex with or what type of sex they wanted to have, Michael Vegas got very upset and volatile.
That’s when he went online and started tweeting about all girls from LA Direct being hookers.
The irony is that Michael Vegas is rapped by OC Modeling who often cancels scenes with people they don’t want their talent to work with. They have a long ass black list.
In fact, I can remember when Shavelle Love (formerly Roxy Rain) was booked to do her first scene with New Sensations. She was so excited because it was her first scene she would have ever shot in LA. The day before the shoot she was notified that her scene was cancelled. Why? Because Michael Vegas’ agent, Sandra from OC Modeling said “her talent doesn’t work with girls like that”.
The agent Roxy Rain was with at the time didn’t have their license yet from California, so Sandra used that as her excuse to cancel the scene, claiming no producer is allowed to book her talent that is represented by an agent who isn’t licensed.
While I personally would applaud her taking a stand like that, if it were legit, it turns out she does allow some of her talent to be booked with girls repped by non-licensed agents, as long as she is friends with them. Funny how that works.
See that’s the thing … agents play these games and try and blacklist people they don’t like to get the upper hand.
That’s all well and good that Micheal Vegas is repped by an agent who does that, except what about when it happens to him? What about when he is the guy being blacklisted?
Doesn’t feel so good when the shoe is on the other foot, huh?
