When you log into your FanCentro creator’s dashboard today you’ll get a notice telling you what you need. It’s pretty much the same as always, ID of everyone in the video and a model release however you’ll need to note one tiny change – the model release need to allow for the public distribution of the content and to upload the content to Fancentro, and if the content will be made available for downloading by other users, to have the content downloaded.
Important! Fancentro changes its content approval requirements as of October 13, 2021.
What does it mean for you?
- To upload and distribute content that includes person(s) other than you, you must obtain (at the time and date of content production) and store required documents from all persons in question;
- All content you upload will be reviewed by our Content Approval Team prior to publication. We are constantly improving the time it takes our Approval Team to approve your content. Our target time frame is and always had been ASAP and normally doesn’t exceed 24 hours worst case.
Which documents do you need to obtain and store?
- State issued ID(s) of the person(s) depicted in your content for age verification purposes;
- Proof of consent for each specific content item from each person depicted in that content item to be depicted in the content, to allow for the public distribution of the content and to upload the content to Fancentro, and if the content will be made available for downloading by other users, to have the content downloaded.
Why?
- This is now a requirement to all websites hosting and distributing adult content imposed by Mastercard (read more in our Help Center);
- As per Fancentro’s Terms of Service, you agreed to upon registration (see Item 6.3) you are obliged to provide all of the above-mentioned documents to Fancentro Approval Team upon request for any content item depicting other persons.
This means that your model release must say that the person agrees for distribution for all digital platforms.
This is a very specific wording that isn’t in your typical model release. This means if you are using older model releases you are going to have to make sure you get a new one that has this wording, so the person knows and grants permission for any content they are in, to be published on online platforms like OnlyFans, Fancentro, etc.
Yes, this is implied in the old version but Mastercard wants it clearly spelled out.
If you use the APAG Union Model Release (found here) please note that is going to be updated soon. If you look at the old release, scroll down to section 5. Grant of Rights, you’ll see that it’s clear the person in question is giving you rights to use the content they are signing the release for.
However it now also must be clearly spelled out that the person specifically grants the right to have the content uploaded to digital platforms and that they agree to allow the video to be downloaded.
