If you’ve ever wondered whether people are really becoming millionaires on OnlyFans, we finally have an answer directly from the company.
More than 5,000 OnlyFans creators have now earned at least $1 million on the platform.
As part of its tenth-anniversary data release in August 2026, OnlyFans revealed that 5,076 creators have earned $1 million or more since the platform launched in 2016. Even more impressive, OnlyFans says it has now paid more than $30 billion directly to creators over those ten years.
Those are enormous numbers, especially for a company that barely existed a decade ago. But before you look at that 5,076 figure and start calculating how quickly you’ll buy your first Lamborghini, we need a little more context.
More Than $30 Billion Has Been Paid to OnlyFans Creators
Let’s start with the biggest number.
OnlyFans says creators have collectively received more than $30 billion in payouts since 2016. The platform keeps 20% of transactions and pays creators the remaining 80%, which means the total amount fans have spent through OnlyFans is substantially higher than the creator-payout figure alone.
And this isn’t simply money OnlyFans accumulated during the COVID boom and has been slowly adding to ever since. The company’s latest financial results show that an enormous amount of money is still flowing through the platform.
For the fiscal year ending November 30, 2025, OnlyFans paid approximately $6.3 billion to creators in a single year.
Think about that for a second. More than one-fifth of the platform’s $30 billion-plus lifetime creator payouts came during its most recently reported fiscal year.
That’s not what a dying platform looks like.
OnlyFans Now Has 5,076 Million-Dollar Creators
The number that will probably get the most attention, however, is 5,076.
That’s how many creators OnlyFans says have earned at least $1 million through the platform since it launched. It means thousands of people have managed to turn an OnlyFans account into a seven-figure business.
There’s an important distinction here, though. Saying someone has earned $1 million on OnlyFans isn’t necessarily the same as saying that person currently has a $1 million net worth.
That $1 million could have been earned over several years. Creators may also have paid taxes, management fees, employee salaries, photographers, editors, advertising expenses, and other costs associated with operating their businesses.
So when you see headlines calling these creators “OnlyFans millionaires,” understand what the statistic actually means: 5,076 creator accounts have generated at least $1 million in creator earnings on the platform.
That’s still one hell of an accomplishment.
How Rare Is Making $1 Million on OnlyFans?
Now we get to the part people selling you an OnlyFans dream probably aren’t going to emphasize.
OnlyFans currently reports approximately 5 million registered creator accounts, with about 2.5 million active creators during its latest fiscal year.
If you compare the 5,076 seven-figure creators with today’s 5 million registered creator accounts, the millionaire group represents roughly 0.1% of that number.
In other words, 5,076 creators is an incredible success story for OnlyFans, but it doesn’t mean becoming a millionaire on OnlyFans is common.
That calculation shouldn’t be treated as an official “success rate,” either. The 5,076 figure includes creators who have earned $1 million at any point during a ten-year period, while the 5 million figure represents the current number of registered creator accounts. We don’t know exactly how many creators have opened accounts and disappeared over OnlyFans’ entire history.
Still, it gives you some perspective. Seven-figure OnlyFans creators are very much the exception, not the rule.
Shannon Elizabeth Made $1 Million in About a Week
Of course, some people reach that milestone considerably faster than others.
Actress Shannon Elizabeth, best known to many people for playing Nadia in American Pie, launched an OnlyFans page in April 2026. Variety reported that she surpassed $1.2 million in her first seven days on the platform.
That’s an incredible launch, but it’s also a perfect example of why comparing your OnlyFans earnings with someone else’s can be completely meaningless.
Shannon Elizabeth didn’t start with zero followers, zero name recognition, and a brand-new Twitter account. She entered OnlyFans after decades of international fame, movie appearances, and an existing fan base that already knew who she was.
Her results demonstrate what OnlyFans can do when someone brings an enormous audience onto the platform. They don’t show what a brand-new, unknown creator should expect to earn in her first week.
That’s a distinction I wish more OnlyFans creators understood.
OnlyFans Is Much Bigger Than Its Millionaire Creators
The millionaire statistic also shouldn’t overshadow the sheer size of the OnlyFans ecosystem.
OnlyFans reported approximately 5 million registered creator accounts, including about 2.5 million active creators, along with 437 million registered fan accounts. About 132 million fan accounts were active during the company’s latest fiscal year.
Those numbers matter because OnlyFans isn’t simply generating more money from the same group of users it had five years ago. It has developed into a gigantic global platform connecting millions of creators with hundreds of millions of registered users.
OnlyFans itself is making plenty of money along the way. Its parent company reported about $1.55 billion in net revenue for the fiscal year ending November 30, 2025, up about 10% from the previous year.
And yes, that’s $1.55 billion, not $1.55 million, as some coverage of the financial report has incorrectly reported.
Does This Mean It’s Easy to Make Money on OnlyFans?
Absolutely not, and I think that’s actually one of the most important lessons hidden inside these numbers. More than 5,000 seven-figure creators prove that the opportunity is real. It doesn’t prove that opening an OnlyFans account automatically creates the opportunity for you.
OnlyFans lets you monetize an audience. It generally doesn’t hand you that audience.
That’s why I’ve always been so focused on promotion when talking to creators. Your subscription price matters. Your PPV strategy matters. Your rebill rate matters. Your messaging matters. But none of those things can produce much money if nobody knows you exist.
Creators who build substantial businesses generally don’t treat OnlyFans like a magic website where uploading pictures somehow makes money appear. They build audiences on social media, convert followers into subscribers, retain those subscribers, sell additional content, and constantly give fans reasons to keep spending.
That’s a business.
Don’t Let the Million-Dollar Number Become Your Benchmark
I also don’t want creators looking at this announcement and feeling like they’re somehow failing because they haven’t made $1 million.
You should be benchmarking your business against your own numbers, not Shannon Elizabeth’s numbers, Sophie Rain’s numbers, or some anonymous creator on Twitter claiming she made $200,000 last month.
If you made $2,000 last month and $2,600 this month, something improved. Figure out what caused it and do more of it.
If your subscriber count hasn’t changed but revenue increased, find out whether PPV purchases, tips, renewals, or average spending per subscriber increased. If you’ve doubled your social media reach but haven’t increased OnlyFans subscriptions, start examining your conversion strategy.
Those numbers are actionable. Knowing that another creator has made $1 million isn’t.
But 5,076 Million-Dollar Creators Is Still Pretty Amazing
I don’t want to downplay what OnlyFans has accomplished, either.
Ten years ago, the idea that an individual content creator could build a seven-figure business by selling subscriptions, messages, videos, and direct access to fans still sounded unusual. Today, OnlyFans says more than 5,000 creators have crossed $1 million, and creators have collectively received more than $30 billion.
And the money hasn’t stopped flowing. Approximately $6.3 billion was paid to creators during the latest reported fiscal year alone.
For all the talk about OnlyFans being oversaturated, declining, or eventually disappearing, the company’s own financial numbers tell a very different story. An extraordinary amount of money is still moving through the platform.
The harder question isn’t whether you can make money on OnlyFans. Five thousand seventy-six seven-figure creators have already answered that question for us.
The question for an individual creator is: how much of that money can you convince fans to spend with you?
