Adult Performer Danny Mountain Released From ICE Detention, Immigration Case Ongoing

Danny Mountain has not been deported. But that doesn’t mean his fight to stay in the US is over.

Adult film performer Danny Mountain has been released from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody after spending several months in detention, though his immigration case remains unresolved, according to sources familiar with the situation.

Danny Mountain, a British national, was originally taken into ICE custody on August 23, 2025, and held at an immigration detention facility while awaiting proceedings related to his immigration status. He was released shortly before Christmas Day, December 25, 2025, after finally receiving a hearing related to his case.

No public statement was issued by Danny Mountain during or after his detention, and he has not clarified the legal basis for his release.

Immigration attorneys note that release from detention does not necessarily indicate a favorable outcome; rather, it often means a detainee has received a bond hearing, procedural adjustment, or temporary relief while their case continues.

Danny Mountain has lived and worked in the United States for more than a decade (estimated between 10 and 15 years) without permanent legal status, according to multiple sources.

During this time, he’s also had at least two children by two different women, both of whom are adult performers themselves (Eva Angelina and AJ Applegate). His short marriage to Mia Malkova did not result in any offspring.

His detention last summer reignited industry speculation that his visa had expired years earlier and that he lacked a viable path to permanent residency.

Despite his release, individuals familiar with the process stress that Mountain’s fight to remain in the U.S. may still be ongoing. ICE routinely releases detainees while appeals, adjustments of status, or removal proceedings are pending.

Confirmation that Mountain remains in the United States came via a January 23, 2026, post on X (formerly Twitter), where he shared photos of himself hiking at Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles.

The post marked his first visible public activity in the United States since his detention and contradicted earlier speculation that he had already been deported to the United Kingdom.

ICE does not publicly disclose details of individual immigration cases, and neither the agency nor Mountain has commented on the specific terms of his release.

Immigration experts say Mountain’s case could still result in deportation, voluntary departure, or a rare adjustment of status depending on court findings. Length of stay alone does not confer legal protection, and overstays often carry reentry bans if removal is ordered.

For now, Danny Mountain appears to remain free and in the U.S., though his long-term status remains uncertain.

Especially since he legally may not be able to continue working in the US without a company willing to sponsor him for employment.

This is a developing situation, and further updates are expected as additional information becomes available.
