I was doing research today for something unrelated when I happened upon the website MyFreecams. A pretty blonde girl was doing a live show, dancing to a Rihanna song.
It’s a great song, I love it, but it’s also illegal to use the song because the girl in question doesn’t own the rights to it. This girl stole from Rihanna.
I had tweeted about this and someone contacts me going off on me about how stupid I am. So I wanted to take a moment to explain it in a different way.
If I own a car, you can’t take my car and use it without my permission. That’s called theft.
If I own a house, you can’t come take my house and use it as your own, that’s theft.
If I own a brand new pair of Prada boots, you can’t come take them from me and wear them yourself, because that’s called theft.
If I buy a brand new iPhone, you can’t take my iPhone from me and use it yourself, without my permission. Because that’s called theft.
You are getting the concept here, right?
If you don’t own something and you take it from the person who does and use it without their permission it’s called theft.
But it’s not just a thing with physical products like an iPhone or expensive shoes. It also applies to digital products like say I create a scene – that content is mine, I own it. You can take it and use it without my permission. In doing so you just stole from me.
If I take a picture of myself, I own that photo. You don’t have the right to use it without my permission. If you use that photo without my permission you just stole from me.
Now back to the Rihanna song. I can share the song with you in this post because YouTube how obtained rebroadcast rights and allows me to embed THEIR video in my post.
This doesn’t mean I can download the song and post it directly on my site because I don’t have permission to do so.
If you have a credit card and I steal it and use it, you know that I just committed a crime. For some reason, people get that, but they don’t seem to understand that when they take things that other people and use it, they are stealing from them and that’s not okay.
If you don’t own it and don’t have permission to use it, you can’t use it. That makes you a theif.
Why do you think it’s okay to use Rihanna’s song without her permission? She owns that song. It’s hers. She didn’t give you permission to use it, so you are stealing from her.
It’s no different than someone taking your photos or videos that you posted to your OnlyFans, and start giving them out for free to everyone.
You don’t want people to steal from you so stop stealing from others.
Stealing a piece of gum, stealing a car stereo, stealing a credit card, or stealing a porn video – it’s all the same. It’s stealing and it’s not okay.
