Yesterday Twitter announced they are removing their “Fleets” feature, effective August 3rd. For those that don’t know, Twitter “Fleets” was basically a poor copy of Instagram stories, without the swipe-up feature.

We hoped Fleets would encourage more people to join the conversation, but that wasn’t the case. So we’re removing them and focusing on improving other parts of Twitter.
